Early Childhood Education Degree Programs
Since 1886, National-Louis University has been among the leaders in providing the best education to aspiring teachers in the community.
The National College of Education (NCE) offers programs in Early Childhood Education designed to prepare students for a variety of roles in working with children and their families. Several degree options are available to meet the needs of students with diverse educational backgrounds, interests and career aspirations. Students may select between two program strands, Early Childhood Teacher Education or Early Childhood Administration.
Early Childhood Teacher Education students may select from the following degree offerings:
- Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education leading to Illinois Type 04 certification
- Master of Arts in Teaching and Certificate of Advanced Studies degrees leading to Illinois Type 04 certification
- Subsequent certification for additional Type 04 endorsement
- Master of Education in Early Childhood
Graduate students can earn either a Master of Education or a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Early Childhood Administration (ECA) for those already holding master's degrees in education. The ECA program blends online coursework with convenient on-campus residencies, making it available to students anywhere they have access to the Internet.
All NCE early childhood programs combine theory and practice and engage students in critical reflection and inquiry. The NCE community continues to be a leader of innovative education throughout Illinois and around the globe.
